OUR FIRST FULL DAY IN HAWAII!

Welcome to the world famous Waikiki Beach!!!

We found plenty of places to pose for pictures on the gorgeous beach

Ready? ...

...Set? ...

...Here we go!

Not only are we becoming American, but we're learning the Hawaiian way of life

Jumping pictures are always necessary at the beach... But timing is a challenge :p

Surfing was so much fun! We're really learning to hang loose in Hawaii...

Aloha! Just finished learning to surf... In Honolulu!!!

We enjoyed a relaxed dinner at Round Table Pizza

ALOHA! We woke up- in Hawaii- and went down to the pool/restaurant area to eat omelets, Asian food, fresh fruits, bacon and a lot more.  The breakfast here is really really good. When we finished breakfast, we walked down Waikiki to a beautiful beach where we would do surfing. When we arrived the waves were pretty small, but then as the day got later, the waves got bigger- which is not so good for beginners like us.  The surfers had a lot of fun, but we were tired at the end of our lesson! It’s more work than the pros make it seem…  We spent the day walking along the beach and wading in the water, playing volleyball, walking around in Waikiki to go to our favorite shops- like Louis Vuitton, Prada, and Cartier. We found a good local place to eat lunch- Subway ;)

Most of us had the chance to take a catamaran tour for an hour and a half and went pretty far out to sea. We got to see a great view of Waikiki and Diamond Head from out there. There we lots of waves, so we got soaked when the waves splashed us. It was crazy and fun!

We spent the rest of the afternoon at the hotel, in the pool, and watching the Super Bowl. Then we got together and went to dinner at a delicious pizza place. After we ate, we had some free time to experience the shopping and “night” life of Waikiki. Then we made our way back to the hotel and went to bed because it was a long day in the sun! Some of us discovered after dinner that we were a bit sunburned… I guess we are not locals yet.

That was it for our first whole day in Hawaii! Looking forward to another fun day tomorrow at the North Shore!
